3 Easy Steps to Great Skin

Great skincare does not have to be complicated. Just three (maybe four) easy steps in the morning and three (maybe four) easy steps will have your skin looking and feeling great in no time.

Use products for your specific skincare needs: Normal, Oily, Dry, Sensitive, or Damaged.

Morning

1.     Wash/Exfoliate

Exfoliating helps to promote daily collagen renewal. Washing the dead skin cells away prevents future breakouts and smoothes the texture of the skin. A good cleanser helps to remove impurities without robbing the skin of its essential natural moisture.

2.     Toner

Toner helps to remove dirt, dead skin cells, and particles from the environment deep down beneath the surface of the skin. A good toner helps to reduce the appearance of pores.

3.     Moisturize

A good moisturizer has SPF. Sun damage is the number one cause of external aging. A good moisturizer also helps to visibly firm the skin and help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

4. Bonus treatments

Additional hydration treatment – skin does not have to be look dry to be dehydrated. An additional hydration treatment helps to balance multiple skincare concerns. For example, if you have active breakouts, but your skin still feels dry, a hydration serum will help balance the oily and dry skin.

Eye treatments – if your eyes appear to have dark circles under them, or puffiness, an eye cream might help to reduce the need for concealers.

Acute Care treatments – if you have minor breakouts, skin irritations, appearance of dull skin

Evening

1.     Wash/Exfoliate

Washing your face at night is almost more important than the morning wash. Use an eye cloth with make-up removers that protect the delicate skin around your eyes as well as clean your face. The best ones also have peptides in them that help to reduce the appearance of lines and puffiness.

2.     Toner

Again, the toner reaches places that your cleaner/exfoliate cannot. It also helps to remove pollution that might have settled on your skin during the day.

3. Night Moisturizer

Once more, the night moisturizer is as important as the SPF in the daytime lotion. A good night cream has hyaluric acid and glycerin to help replenish your skin’s natural moisturizing factors while you sleep.

4.     Bonus treatments

Again, you might use special treatments for your combination skin, eyes, or acute care treatments for common skincare concerns.
